LTCue ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the LTCue desktop application and website.
1. Information We Collect
Application Usage Analytics
We may collect anonymous usage analytics to improve LTCue, including:
- Application version and operating system
- Feature usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most frequently)
- Session duration and frequency
This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.
License Validation
For Pro and Enterprise license holders, we process license keys to verify your subscription status. This involves transmitting your license key to our validation server. We do not collect personal information beyond what is necessary for license validation.
Crash Reports
If LTCue encounters an error, we may collect crash reports that include technical information such as stack traces, application state, and system configuration. These reports do not contain your timecode data or audio content.
2. Local Data Processing
LTCue is designed with privacy at its core:
- Audio input processing is entirely local. LTC timecode audio is decoded on your machine and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- Timecode data stays on your device. Your cue lists, show files (.tcshow), trigger configurations, and timecode readings are stored locally and are not sent externally.
- Companion and webhook connections are direct. Communications with Bitfocus Companion and webhook endpoints are made directly from your machine to your configured destinations. We do not proxy or monitor these connections.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Payment Processor: Pro and Enterprise licenses are purchased through our payment processor. Your payment information is handled entirely by the processor and is never stored on our servers. Please refer to the payment processor's privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.
- Update Checker: LTCue periodically checks for application updates by contacting our update server. This request includes your application version and operating system to determine if an update is available.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
The LTCue website uses the following:
- Cookie Consent Preference: We store your cookie consent choice in your browser's localStorage to remember your preference across visits.
- Essential Session Data: Minimal session data required for website functionality.
